Featured Food Producer Sarah Smith

Grassland Organic Farm in Skowhegan is owned and operated by Sarah Smith. Since 2005 the diversified farm has been pumping out organic milk, yogurt, beef, pork, and veggies for sale in central Maine. The 289 acre farm employs 9 people and serves the August, Orono, and Skowhegan farmers’ markets as well as The Pickup CSA and Wholesale, a local food distribution center that Sarah co-founded in 2011. We source our milk, yogurt, and vegetables from Grassland and order almost all our veg from The Pickup. Please ask us about how to get a CSA the next time you are in for a Fatty!
