Kingfield, Maine is a beautiful town on the Carrabassett River in the High Peaks region of Maine. It’s a small sweet place with it’s own newspaper, grocery store, a hardware store and lumber company, convenience stores, a few restaurants, a couple great B and Bs, an inn, a hotel, a cute, little and well-stocked library, a Montessori school, an elementary school, a bike park, a town park, hiking, biking, snowmobile and ATV trails, a pharmacy, a health center, an alternative health center, lush fields, tall mountains, a fancy ski resort right up the road, and some local characters.
We chose to start our business in Kingfield because of it’s prime location, it’s natural resources, and it’s sustainability over time. We see room here for development of recreational amenities to make it a visitor destination while maintaining a small town look and feel. So far, we’ve found it the perfect place to start a small business and we love it here.
