Of course we’d love to have you here at our restaurant, but we get it. Locally sourced handmade burritos served along side Maine craft beer isn’t for everyone! Or maybe you’ve eaten here 3 times in a week and are just looking for a change of scenery? We have a great little selection of restaurants in Kingfield. Here they are in no particular order with our description and review.
The Maine Beer Shed
Maine beer, wine, food, and gifts
Looking for the best selection of Maine craft beer around? Looking for a local loaf of bread, gallon of milk, or stick of butter? Drop in to the beer shed to fill the cooler or the fridge for the weekend or buy that birthday gift you’ve been looking for. Kate and Brian are always adding on to their selection of fine foods and beverages as well as to their operation. Check out their new beer cafe coming in June 2021! Super psyched to have this new hot spot in town!
Local tips: Thursday is bread day and if you’ve got an extra minute, take a spin around the pump track.

One Stanley Avenue
Classic Cuisine of Maine
One Stanley Ave, in their 48th year, is an elegant and unique fine dining experience we look forward to every winter. Dan, chef and owner, along with his wife Susan, run the place. They have an exceptional selection of of wine and Maine craft beer and a full bar. The menu offers a simple set of classic dishes. Rob likes the beef minionettes, and I always order the lobster with dill sauce. You should get to One Stanley before year 50 when, at 80, Dan will be retiring. It’s a Kingfield landmark and we highly recommend! Open mid December-mid April Wednesday-Sunday. Reservations required.
Local tips: Get there a little early to have a cocktail in the lounge. Don’t ask for your sauce on the side. Don’t expect the whole menu to be available.

Orange Cat Cafe
Breakfast, Lunch, Catering
The Orange Cat Cafe with it’s welcoming comfy vibe offers breakfast, lunch, and something sweet. For a while I was hooked on the green goddess smoothie and the golden milk is amazing. The Orange Cat also offers and complete catering service. Their wedding, birthday, and special occasion cakes are over the top and you can pretty much ask Morgan for anything and she’ll make it happen. Oh and it’s the only espresso joint in town. Open 7ish-3ish Monday-Saturday and 8ish to 3ish on Sunday. The ish is for realz.
Local tips: Bring your own mug for deal on coffee. Gluten free anything here is friggin’ delish.

The Kingfield Woodsman
Breakfast and Lunch
Carrabassett Coffee, homemade bread if you ask for it, eggs, homies, good ol’ fashioned breakfast is what this place is all about–as you would expect from a place called The Woodsman. The lunch is solid too–the lobster rolls in the summer shouldn’t be missed. Betsy, maker of breakfast magic, has owned the place for a few years now and it’s just a great place to start the day. The Woodsman is open year round, 7 days a week. Monday-Saturday 6-2 and Sunday 7-12.
Local tips: They do take orders to go over the phone but really you should just eat in.

The Inn on Winter’s Hill
Food and Drink in the Winter Mansion
The beef is locally sourced from Cold Spring Ranch in New Portland. Don’t even think about it, just order the burger with fries. It’s the best burger around when there are buns. Try a shrub with booze or without. The karaoke on Tuesday nights is super fun and draws a crowd. It’s a good place for meetings if you’re looking for comfy couches and a coffee table. Also good for larger groups if you want to meet in the formal dining room. Open year round every day around 4-10, kitchen ’til 9.
Local tips: If no one is there to serve you, just holler. Engage John in conversation. He’s the man in black.

Longfellow’s
Casual Family Dining
Longfellow’s has been serving locals and visitors since 1980. The deck overlooking the river and the snowmobile parking out back make it a year round destination spot. They have some local beer on tap, a full bar, and an affordable menu that caters to just about every taste and dietary need. Open year round 7 days a week from 11-9.
Local tips: They serve all the domestics including Bud and Bud Light. Try a fry date here.
